3. Bring on the Lemon 

Lemon is an instant cure for vomiting. Just sniffing a lemon can relieve the feeling of vomiting and morning sickness. Drinking mild lemon juice is a great and tasteful way to combat the troubles of heartburn, nausea and vomiting. 

4. Sprinkle some mint 

Mints are a boon for pregnant ladies. Be it spearmint and peppermint, they are very effective in controlling morning sickness. The fragrance and flavour stimulate the channels of the body and mitigate the feelings of nausea and vomiting. 

5. Grab a Good sleep

Carrying a child in the womb for nine long months is an exhausting and demanding journey. Fatigue, tiredness, shortness of breath and nausea are all very common during pregnancy.

The body is already engaged in nourishing and caressing the baby, so it’s very important not to stress it and take proper rest. Getting sound quality sleep is very important for the body. Relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation and a healthy diet help to calm the mind and boost better sleep.

6. Get a can of Coconut Water


Coconut water is a super healthy drink. Rich in minerals and vitamins, coconut water brings oodles of benefits to the mother and the baby. It is extremely effective in tackling morning sickness.

7. Take out the Yoga mat

Yoga is very beneficial during the whole phase of pregnancy. It does not just help keep the mother stay in shape but also strengthens the mother and baby. Yoga enhances blood circulation and boosts relaxation which is very important for the mother and child.

It also helps in improving digestion and correcting sleep disturbances. Yoga can also help ease morning sickness. The best yoga poses to try are the child’s pose, the half-moon pose and the wide-legged forward bend.

  • Do not miss out on your water intake.
  • Keep eating small and frequent meals.

  • Avoid binging on unhealthy snacks or processed foods, this will increase acidity and provide zero nutrition to your body.
  • I often suggest pregnant mothers eat light home-cooked food. Eating food from outside is not only unhealthy but also unsafe during pregnancy.
  • Avoid strong scents and other things that trigger your tendency to vomiting.
